EMILY - CAMP DIRECTOR
Emily began working at Camp Natoma in 2004 as a lifeguard and counselor while attending UC San Diego. She earned a BS in Environmental Systems. Following her undergradutae studies she traveled to New Zealand to complete a NOLS outdoor leadership training program. She obtained a California teaching credential and Masters in Education with an emphasis on children and nature. She taught 5th and 6th grades in local schools for over five years.
Summer 2018 will be Emily's 9th summer as the Camp Director.
ROBBIE - DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Robbie began working at Camp Natoma in 2005 as a nature instructor and counselor while attending UC Santa Barbara. He earned a BS in Zoology and then attended Cal Poly to earn a teaching credential. Robbie is a high school science teacher and specializes in AP Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science. Robbie is a graduate of Camp Natoma's high school leadership program.
MIRANDA - DIRECTOR OF STAFF
Miranda began working at Camp Natoma in 2002 as an archery instructor and counselor. She currently runs the high school Counselor-in-Training program. During the school year, Miranda works for San Luis Coastal Unified School District with students with special needs.
Eileen - Activity Coordinator
Eileen will be graduating from St. Olaf College with a double major in History and Studio Art. At camp, she is the coordinator of camp theme days and other all-camp activities. Her favorite parts of camp are the community and the outdoors. Eileen is a 4th year staff member and has graduated from Camp Natoma's high school leadership program.
Andrew - Activity Coordinator
Andrew is working towards a BS in Biology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. At camp, he is the lead Archery & Tomahawks instructor. Andrew is a 4th year staff member and has graduated from Camp Natoma's high school leadership program.
Janelle - Pool Director
Janelle is working towards a degree in Statistics from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. At camp she runs all things related to the pool. She teaches the youngest campers swimming skills and also lends her creativity for "Survivor" activities. Her favorite part of camp is evening fire. She loves the energy, as each kid is encouraged to be themselves. This is a safe place for them to be creative, silly, & brave. The whole camp is gathered by one small fire to laugh, sing, & reflect. Janelle is a 4th year staff member and has graduated from Camp Natoma's high school leadership program.
Katy - CIT Counselor
Katy will be graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Sociology. At camp she is the mentor for the high school students in the Counselor-in-Training leadership development program. Her favorite parts of camp are the pool and singing songs. Katy is a 3rd year staff member and has graduated from Camp Natoma's high school leadership program.
