Spend a few weeks with other teens learning everything it takes to become an AWESOME Camp Counselor as part of our CIT Program. And, have a blast doing it! As a CIT, you will be...

leading songs and games with kids,

acting out funny skits at evening camp fires,

shadowing experienced counselors,

improving your leadership skills,

learning everything you need to know to be a GREAT camp counselor, all about Camp Natoma, tricks for living in nature, working with kids, building a sense of community, environmental friendliness, and more!

Camp Natoma’s Counselor-in-Training Program is a 2 year leadership course designed to prepare teenagers for potential future employment as summer camp counselors. Graduates from the program will have completed 31 lessons focused on important elements of working with kids, health and safety, as well as Camp Fire USA’s philosophy on camping in an outdoor community. We require that applicants commit to at least two weeks in a summer. This is mandatory so that all participants are exposed to sufficient training for completion of the course.
